Hello fellow 'pad players'... I haven't been active on the forums for a while, but I thought I'd let you guys know that I will be getting 15 Mbps download/2 Mbps upload FiOS on March 8th.  A significant amount faster than my current connection.  Unfortunately, I won't have internet for a while when they are installing it, but I'll be online soon enough to frag you all since I doubt I'll be lagging very much. For comparison, here is my current internet speed:



I shall post speedtest.net results once I finally get FiOS, just so you can see just HOW much faster it is.

i have 6mbits DSL in theory but i cannot get more than 2,1mbits ... 

Im not even sure what we have... my dad says we have 8Mbit. but when i test it i get about 11mbit downloadspeed. and i have W-lan 

Bandwith isn't that important. Pings are. You can even have a good ping with a "normal" 1024 kbit/s Connection.
You only need a high bandwith to transfer much data in short time. WoP doesn't have that much data to be transfered that a great bandwith is needed.

my ping is also bad ... alwasy about 80 sometimes (especially on SNT) about 120 can't play with such a ping

Toby: do you think that 120ms ping is bad? 80ms ping is the lowest I can get ANYWHERE, and the servers that have people on them its usually about 120ms ping. ( this is on enemy territory ) Oh, and when I was playing wop, when the padmod was around, I would play almost every Sunday, be near the top, near where PP is, and all this with around about 400ms ping.

i need a ping under 100ms .. i hate i targeting a bit before persons to hit them especially with bubble g and splasher playing with a ping with 120ms against good people with 20 ms is impossible

Yes, you are the only person i know of who can play very well at such a high latency.

And on another note, i miss those days. >:K My real life situations recently have restricted me from playing like i used to, especially now that i have moved out. One day teh ploon will be back on a regular basis, but probaly not anytime soon.

I will give you the credit of if you did have my ping yes you would be very hard to play against and would me a immense challenge, much like thilo used to make my head hurt after 30 minutes or so. XD
